" Marchmont Park alpacas was established in 2005 on our 40 acre property situated on the Wee Jasper Road just 4 kms from Yass post office. This is an area well suited to alpacas with cold winters and dry summers. Having both retired, we are able to spend much of our time with the alpacas in their day to day handling and being there when crias are born. We are committed to breeding healthy animals with sound temperaments.

Our females have been carefully selected and are already producing quality progeny. Many of our animals are achieving awards in the show ring.

In 2007 we purchased stud male Chachani Cristobal who is from Shanbrooke Rasputin and Shanbrooke True Illusion. He has extremely dense fleece with very little medullation and is consistently cutting around 6 kg of fleece at each shearing. Cristobal has a quiet temperament and is an absolute joy to work with.

In early 2009 we commenced using Marchmont Park Invincible who is an upstanding young male and we have high expectations from his progeny. Invincible is descended from Jolimont Warrior and Jolimont Conquistador.

We provide after sales support and advice to our clients and enjoy the interaction with others who share our passion for these beautiful animals. Alpacas serve many purposes, including breeding, showing, producers of superb fleece, sheep and goat guardians and as lovable pets.

We utilise our fleeces in the creation of hand knitted garments and also in the production of dog/cria coats, doonas and vests which are offered for sale to the general public. We welcome visitors to our farm."
